This lecture, part of a series led by Rebecca Albiani, explores the life and work of early-seventeenth century art collector and Cardinal, Sciopione Borghese.

Pets on Parade IV – Schack Art Center – Jan 9-Feb 6
This exhibit is a playful tribute to pets through the eyes of the artists who love them. Leashes, collars, beds, toys, and food will be collected to benefit N.O.A.H. and the Everett Animal Shelter during the exhibit.

CAIRO Presents: EXPO 91 – Cairo – Jan 9-12
Dive headfirst into the Seattle music and art scene! “EXPO 91 delves deep into the farthest regions of psycho-space for premium electronic, the cobweb-filled nooks of your garage for hilarious and gnarly pop/rock, and the underbelly of the musical space needle to scrape up the elusive visual- and aural-experimenters.”

Ballard Art Walk – Downtown Ballard – Jan 11
Explore the nooks and crannies of downtown Ballard, and take in a coffee shop or two while you’re at it.

ArtAche / Hangover Market – Chop Suey – Jan 12

Miró: The Experience of Seeing – Seattle Art Museum – Feb 16-May 25
Study the whimsy of the subconscious mind in the work of Joan Miró i Ferrà in this special new SAM exhibit.

SAM Remix – Seattle Art Museum – Feb 21
Whether you’ve been to a dozen or have never made it before, this is the SAM Remix not to miss! Performances, talks, music, drinks, tastings, and dancing are all staples at this event.
